    Love, Loss and Eternity

    Written by Melissa Lindsay

When my husband died, grief swallowed me whole and my world fell apart. The ache of his absence, the silence he left behind, the loss of his touch, the broken fragments of my heart and my life scattered everywhere, and a pain so deep I felt it in my soul. Each day carried a weight I could hardly bear, a heavy emptiness that lingered in every corner of my being. In many ways, grief moves in an endless, unrelenting rhythm, leaving heartbreak, sorrow, and a lingering longing in its wake.

Then the signs began… little nudges that he was near, that he was still alive, that he still existed, moments that made me stop and take notice. Dreams followed, vivid and real. I could feel him… I could really feel him. And through these sacred experiences, I realised that our love and connection didn’t end with his passing. It continues, reaching beyond this life, into eternity.

This is my deeply personal story of enduring love, of the darkness of loss and grief that stretches wide, and of the eternal connection that continues beyond the physical world. I share the raw and heartbreaking moments, the quietly funny ones that have carried me through, and the profound experiences of spiritual connection I have shared with my husband, all in the hope that anyone grieving the loss of someone they love might feel a little less alone.

If you’ve lost someone you love, this book is for you. It is a reminder that love endures, that those we cherish are never truly gone, and that even in the endlessness of grief, hope can find us again, offering comfort, peace, and the courage to keep living while carrying their love with us, and while their spirit walks beside us.
